This Pipe Rest took me some time to carve. Olive Wood is a stunning wood to look at, but it is not easy to finish. Olive wood is soft and a bit oily, so it loves to clog files and finishing tools.

I love the design of this rest. It not only serves its purpose well by accenting the pipe it holds beautifully, it is also a pleasure in the hand. The wood is so smooth it feels wet.

The idea for this rest came from the clean lines of Swedish design.

I have always admired bent wood Swedish furniture. This Pipe Rest will be sure to please in any setting. It will hold small & medium pipes.
