Amboyna Wood Pipe Stand
This stand is made of a very rare wood called Amboyna Burl. Amboyna Burl comes from a tree called “Red Narra” which is grown in Southeast Asia. This tree yields many different patterns within the same tree, making this wood unique. It even smells great while carving. This stand features some breathtaking pattern as well as some elegant color shifts. The pattern I chose for the stand is a swirl, which when I was finished, reminded me of Van Gogh’s ear. The stand will accommodate medium & small pipes.
The tamper is a piece of amber acrylic finished off with a slight twist to complement the stand.
